Terms of service

Draft: this page is being reviewed and may change before Nozzlet opens. Questions? Use our contact form.

Last updated: October 1, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and IAPZ Technology Inc. ("Nozzlet", "we", "us"). They apply whenever you use nozzlet.com, nozzlet.ca, Nozzlet Works (app.nozzlet.com), or any other Nozzlet service (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms, our Privacy policy, and our Content policy.

If you don't agree, please don't use Nozzlet.

1. What Nozzlet is (and isn't)

Nozzlet is an online directory that helps customers find and contact 3D printing shops and other makers ("makers"), and lets manufacturers and suppliers ("advertisers") place ads. Nozzlet also offers Nozzlet Works, business software that helps makers cost, stock, and schedule their work (Section 7).

Nozzlet is not a party to any job. Any agreement to make, sell, ship, or pay for something is only between the customer and the maker. Nozzlet:

  • does not make, sell, inspect, ship, or guarantee any item or service;
  • does not process payments for jobs, and doesn't hold or refund money for jobs;
  • does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, timing, or price of any maker's work, or the accuracy of what makers or customers say;
  • does not settle disagreements between customers and makers.

Quotes, estimates, and automatic prices shown on Nozzlet are for guidance. The final price and terms are agreed directly between the customer and the maker.

2. Who can use Nozzlet

  • You must be 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live, whichever is higher.
  • Accounts are available to people and businesses in Canada and the United States. People elsewhere may view public pages and join our waitlist.
  • You must give accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • If you use Nozzlet for a business, you confirm you have the authority to accept these terms for that business.

3. Your account

  • Keep your password safe and don't share your account. You're responsible for activity on your account.
  • One login can act as a customer, a maker, an advertiser, and a Nozzlet Works subscriber, on nozzlet.com and app.nozzlet.com.
  • Makers must confirm their email and business phone number. Customers must confirm their email before contacting makers.
  • Tell us right away through our contact form if you think your account has been used without permission.
  • Premium makers, and Nozzlet Works subscribers whose plan allows it, may invite staff. The account owner is responsible for what staff do.

4. Rules for everyone

You agree to follow our Content policy and all laws that apply to you. You must not:

  • use Nozzlet for anything illegal or prohibited by the Content policy;
  • post false, misleading, or copied information, or fake reviews;
  • harass, threaten, spam, or scam anyone;
  • collect other users' information, or contact them outside Nozzlet for purposes they didn't agree to;
  • copy, scrape, or overload the Service, or try to get around its security or plan limits;
  • create accounts to get around a suspension or ban.

5. Customers

  • You're responsible for choosing a maker and for your agreement with them, including price, payment, delivery, and returns.
  • When you upload a file, you confirm that you have the right to have it printed and that doing so won't break any law or anyone's rights.
  • Check that the maker and item are suitable for your purpose, especially for anything safety-critical.

6. Makers

  • You're responsible for your listing, your work, your prices, your taxes, and your agreements with customers, and for having any licences, permits, and insurance your work requires.
  • Only list services and materials you actually offer, and use photos of your own work (or work you have permission to show).
  • Handle customer files and information only for the job they were shared for, and delete them when no longer needed.
  • Don't claim certifications or safety standards you don't meet.
  • Licensed categories (such as regulated firearm parts, if and when available) require approval by Nozzlet and must follow Section 3.2 of the Content policy. We may remove approval at any time.

Unclaimed listings

We may create basic listings for businesses using publicly available business information. A business may claim its listing free after verifying ownership, or ask us to remove it.

7. Nozzlet Works

Nozzlet Works is business software for makers. You can use it with or without a directory listing. There's a free plan with limits (such as the number of printers and products) and paid plans (Maker, Shop, and Farm) with higher or no limits. Each paid plan includes a matching directory plan (Maker includes Starter, Shop includes Pro, Farm includes Premium). The free plan doesn't include a directory plan.

  • Your numbers, your decisions. Works calculates costs, suggested prices, profit, stock levels, and schedules from the information you enter. The results are only as accurate as that information. They are tools to help you decide, not accounting, tax, or financial advice. You're responsible for your prices, taxes, stock, and schedules, and for checking anything important.
  • Your Works records are yours. They're private to your business and the staff you invite, and they're never shown on the directory unless you choose it (for example, quote prices from your costs). See Section 4 of our Privacy policy.
  • Your customers' information. If you store details about your own customers or orders in Works, you're responsible for having their permission and for handling that information lawfully. We store it only to provide Works to you.
  • Early access. While Works is in early access, features may change, be added, or be removed, and some may not work perfectly. Please keep your own copy of anything critical and tell us about problems through our contact form. Early access may be free or discounted; we'll tell you before any charge begins.
  • Exporting. You can export your Works records at any time while your subscription is active.
  • If your subscription lapses or ends. If a payment fails and isn't fixed within 7 days, or you cancel and your paid period ends, your Works subscription is paused and you can't access your Works records until the subscription is brought up to date. We keep your records for 12 months from that date. We'll email you 30, 15, and 5 days before they're deleted. If the subscription isn't brought up to date by then, your Works records are permanently deleted. You can also ask us to delete them sooner.
  • Free plan accounts that no one signs in to for 12 months are treated the same way: we email you 30, 15, and 5 days before, and then your Works records are permanently deleted. Signing in keeps them.
  • This doesn't limit your privacy rights, including asking for a copy of your personal information (Section 11 of our Privacy policy).

8. Plans, billing, and cancellations (makers, Works subscribers, and advertisers)

  • Basic is free. Paid directory plans (Starter, Pro, Premium), Nozzlet Works plans, and ads are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through our payment providers (Stripe or PayPal). We never store full card numbers.
  • Canadian accounts are billed in CAD, US accounts in USD. Prices don't include taxes, which are added at checkout where required.
  • Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled. We'll remind yearly subscribers before renewal.
  • Upgrades take effect right away, with any price difference prorated. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current paid period.
  • After a downgrade, content over the new plan's limits is kept but hidden. Nothing is deleted.
  • If a payment fails and isn't fixed within the grace period, your listing moves to Basic, and your Nozzlet Works subscription is paused if payment isn't fixed within 7 days (see Section 7). We'll email you when a payment fails, and before access is paused.
  • Refunds: payments are non-refundable except where required by law, or where we decide otherwise.
  • Price changes: we may change prices or plan features. We'll give at least 30 days' notice of price increases to existing subscribers, and you can cancel before the change applies.
  • Directory plan included with Nozzlet Works: the directory plan included with a paid Works plan lasts only while that Works subscription is active. If it's paused or ends, your listing moves to the directory plan you're paying for, or Basic.
  • Discount codes apply only as described when issued and can't be exchanged for cash.

9. Advertisers

  • Ads must follow the Content policy and be truthful, lawful, and related to 3D printing, making, or manufacturing.
  • All ads need our approval before they run. We may reject or remove any ad, and will refund unused ad time if we remove an ad for reasons other than a breach of these terms.
  • We report impressions and clicks in good faith, but don't guarantee any number of views, clicks, or sales.

10. Your content

"Your content" means anything you add to Nozzlet: listings, photos, descriptions, files, requests, messages, reviews, ads, and Nozzlet Works records.

  • You keep ownership of your content.
  • You give Nozzlet a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, display, format, translate, and share your content only as needed to run, promote, and improve the Service. For example, showing your listing in search, showing a file preview to makers when you post a request, or featuring a public listing or review in our marketing.
  • Nozzlet Works records are used only to provide Works to you. They're never used for marketing, shown publicly, or shared with other businesses unless you choose it.
  • Customer files are shared only as described in our Privacy policy and the file privacy rules shown when you upload. We don't use customer files for marketing.
  • This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies kept for legal reasons, backups for a limited time, or content already shared with other users (such as messages).
  • We may remove content that breaks these terms or the Content policy, but we don't review everything and aren't responsible for users' content.

11. Reviews

Reviews can only be left by customers who've received a review request from a maker. Reviews must be honest and based on real experience. We don't edit reviews, but may remove ones that break the Content policy.

12. Nozzlet's content and name

The Nozzlet name, logo, website design, Learning centre, and software belong to Nozzlet or its licensors. You may not copy or use them without our permission, except to share links to Nozzlet pages.

13. Third-party services

Nozzlet uses and links to third-party services (for example, Google sign-in, Stripe, PayPal, maps, and makers' own websites). Their own terms apply, and we're not responsible for them.

14. Suspension and closing accounts

  • You can close your account at any time from My account → Privacy and your data → Delete my account.
  • We may suspend or close accounts, remove content, or remove features (such as badges or categories) if you break these terms or the Content policy, if required by law, or to protect users or Nozzlet. We'll usually explain why, and you can ask us to reconsider within 30 days.
  • If we close your account for a breach, fees already paid aren't refunded except where required by law.

15. Disclaimers

Nozzlet is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent allowed by law, we don't promise that the Service will always be available, error-free, or secure, or that information on it (including Learning centre content and material suggestions) is complete or accurate. Learning centre content, material suggestions, and Nozzlet Works calculations are general information, not professional advice.

Some places don't allow certain disclaimers, so some of these may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.

16. Limits on liability

To the extent allowed by law:

  • Nozzlet is not liable for anything arising from dealings between customers and makers, including items, services, payments, deliveries, injuries, or losses;
  • Nozzlet is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or lost profits, data, or business;
  • Nozzlet's total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid Nozzlet in the 12 months before the claim.

17. Indemnity

If you're a maker or advertiser, or you use Nozzlet in breach of these terms or the law, you agree to cover Nozzlet's reasonable costs and losses from claims by others arising from your content (including information you store in Nozzlet Works about your own customers), your work, your dealings with other users, or your breach, to the extent allowed by law.

18. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, unless the law where you live requires otherwise. Disputes will be handled in the courts of British Columbia, unless consumer protection laws where you live give you the right to use your local courts.

(Lawyer to confirm approach for US users, including any arbitration clause, and for Quebec consumers.)

19. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with its date and, for important changes, notify you by email or in the app at least 30 days before they apply. If you keep using Nozzlet after changes take effect, you accept them. If you don't agree, you can close your account.

20. Other terms

  • If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
  • If we don't enforce a right, we haven't given it up.
  • You may not transfer your account or these terms without our permission. We may transfer them as part of a sale or reorganization of our business.
  • These terms are available in English and French.
